Now We Know Who Will Portray Bruce Springsteen in the Movie About the Genesis of ‘Nebraska’

According to Variety, Jeremy Allen White, known for his role as the protagonist in the series “The Bear,” will portray Bruce Springsteen in a film that will depict the making of his 1982 album “Nebraska.”

Although there is no official confirmation yet, Scott Cooper is expected to write and direct the film, titled “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” while production will be handled by Eric Robinson and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein of the Gotham Group.

A24 is also in negotiations to bring the project to life. Springsteen wrote “Nebraska” during a period of deep depression, a feeling shared by his father, and the album’s effects are palpable—a collection of dark and gloomy songs that marked a new, solitary, and secretive turning point in the Boss’s artistic career.
