After learning about her Neanderthal ancestry, a famous beauty discovered that she also had a sister she didn’t know about, and then made every effort to find her.
The well-known American model, author of numerous cookbooks, and TV personality Chrissy Teigen, wife of musician John Legend, has often found herself in the spotlight due to her outspoken statements.
“The first thing that popped up after I found out I’m part Neanderthal was this – an identical twin,” Chrissy Teigen shared in a video, pointing to her family tree with a small circle next to her initials. “It must be a joke, right?”
Chrissy immediately began to investigate what happened to her lost sister whom she had never heard of. She messaged her doctor, contacted the 23andMe company, and called her dad hoping to get the full story.
“I literally said, ‘Dad, hey, did you see me coming out of Mom’s vagina and was I doubled up in there?'” she revealed. “He started laughing, told me, ‘No, there weren’t two of you!’ and I asked him if he was sure he was even there.”
Confused, she then called her sister Tina and, in short, turned everything upside down.
“At that moment, I started to look for excuses for my whole life. I was like – that’s why I’m so codependent, because my twin was torn away from me! That’s why I always felt like something was missing and why I have trouble with math!” the model recounted.
However, her sister then reminded Chrissy of a detail she had forgotten: that she had participated in a show called “Finding Your Roots” long ago, which was never aired, but she had done a DNA test under a pseudonym to protect her identity. It turned out that the result she received was herself.
“My identical twin was me,” concluded Chrissy Teigen.
