King Charles will resume his public duties after the cancer diagnosis

Buckingham Palace issued a statement announcing the resumption of His Majesty’s activities.

King Charles of England is ready to resume his public duties shortly after being diagnosed with cancer, Buckingham Palace announced on Friday.

“His Majesty the King will soon return to his public duties after a period of treatment and recovery following his recent cancer diagnosis,” the palace stated in a brief announcement, as reported by The Post. It was not immediately clear whether the 75-year-old king is still undergoing treatment for prostate cancer.

The monarch, who began outpatient treatment in February, has had to scale back much of his royal agenda to focus on his health.

There are concerns about the health of King Charles III. Despite “responding very well” to treatment according to reports, his health has significantly worsened in the past few weeks, leaving him “very ill,” according to internal sources.

Some reports also reveal that King Charles has felt “frustrated” by the current state of the monarchy following various health issues that have affected the family in recent months. Just a month after revealing his cancer diagnosis to the world, his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton disclosed that she is also facing her own battle with cancer.

As two high-ranking members of the Royal Family underwent treatment for their respective diagnoses, the Royal Family was forced to undergo a major reorganization. These serious health issues in the royal family occurred less than a year after the King’s coronation last May.

Moreover, the Palace has periodically updated plans for the impending funeral of Charles, and multiple sources told the Daily Beast that the situation “is not good.”

“Of course, he is determined to beat it and they are giving it their all. Everyone remains optimistic, but he is really very ill. More so than they let on,” a source described as an old family friend told the media.
